Just another day at the beach.....

Today was a very laid back day.... No bike ride, just sitting on the beach. And it was a lovely day, at least up until 3:00..... it got a bit breezy so I went in and did a little cruise planning. Tomorrow I will (hopefully) be back on the bike (and the beach).....

Riding the boardwalk....

I took a bike ride into town this morning and did the boardwalk again. It's great watching all the people jogging, riding their bikes and surreys or just out for a walk. I did a ride of just over 10 miles and captured a few images along the way.... It was another amazing day!

Another day in paradise.....

What can I say? It was another fabulous day here in Ocean City. I can't tell you how much I am loving this hot, sunny weather.... Remember, in less than a month I set sail on what may be my coldest voyage to date, the Voyage of the Vikings. I will look back fondly on these wonderful days at the beach. I have been doing some reading at the beach with my newly acquired Kindle. The technology on the electronic "book" is just amazing. Even in the sunlight glare is not a problem. It is also very convenient to be able to adjust your font size to your liking.... With it's ability to store ~1500 books it sure eliminates some of the packing issues associated with bringing books along on. Enough with the commercials.... I'm hoping that tomorrow will be another spectacular day....

Loving life in Ocean City......

This morning I went out for a morning bike ride into downtown and down the length of the boardwalk..... It was about a 15 mile ride and I loved it...... I came back and had a wonderful breakfast before I headed out to the beach for the day. And what a glorious day it was..... My friends Patty & Jim joined me and later other friends Tom & Marge and their friends Fred & grace joined us.... It was a good group with lots of discussion. Everyone enjoyed the day..... Hopefully tomorrow will be another great day in Ocean City.

A beautiful day at the beach....

Today was a really nice day.... The sun was fabulous, there was a nice ocean breeze and it was very, very relaxing. Today was just what I needed..... I listened to music and read a bit. Occasionally I took a dip in the ocean and was pleasantly surprised that the water wasn't too bad. When I was in Rehoboth Beach I felt it was a little cool for my taste. It's realoly nice to be here visiting friends.... Ocean City is a really laid back beach community, very comfortable. I capped off the afternoon with a bike ride, OMG...excersize, what will be next?

Ferrying to New Jersey...

Today was just lovely... Well the morning weather wasn't much, overcast and gloomy. I thought, what's up with this? It was supposed to be sunny.... Well as I made my way across the bay, the weather continually improved until it was sunny on the New Jersey side. I got to my friends house around 11:15 this morning and it was great seeing them again. The day was spent visiting with friends and yes.... catching a few rays. We had dinner at a place called the Clam Bar. It is just a fantastic place to eat. The place gets pretty crowded and you may have to wait an hour or more but.... well worth the wait. Tonight I had Cream of potato, crab, garlic & bacon soup...one of my favorites. I also had a potato skin stuffed with crab, shrimp cheese and potato...fabulous.... Tomorrow I hope to bring you some beach photos.....
