Day 183 Bangkok, Thailand

We left the hotel at 0730 this morning heading for the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market which is at least 1 ½ hours outside of Bangkok. On the way we stopped at a small village where the train runs through. The people here set up their wares right along the tracks… They definitely have to back up a bit when the trains come through. We got on a long boat and went through the Klongs for the last half hour as we approached the Floating market. The markets are so full of energy and color…. Sensory overload..... Next up was a 2 hour drive to the bridge on the river Kwai, made very famous by the movie. It was an amazing experience, especially when you realize how many people lost their lives building the “Death Railway” On the way back to Bangkok we found ourselves right in the middle of the Red Shirts moving protest…. Amazing! It was a great day! And, what an amazing hat!!!!
