Day 189 Halong Bay, Vietnam

Today was a very interesting day… We arrived into beautiful Halong Bay around 0900 and went ashore after immigration stopped screwing around….. We hit the markets for a while as we waited for our noon pickup to go out on a boat and explore the natural wonders of Halong Bay. Once aboard the boat we prepared to leave as another boat rammed us taking out about 4 windows and sending glass flying… no big deal, happens every day here… pretty exciting! The natural beauty of these waters are simply amazing. We sailed for about 1 ½ hours to a floating fishing village and the Hang Sung Sot caves. The caves were enormous and just spectacular. The day was just perfect… It was capped off with cocktails and dinner with friends in the Pinnacle Restaurant… Great Day!!!!

What a fascinating place. These photos are even better than the ones you took the last time you were there. Awesome!

Looks like an amazing spot and what a beach on the small island.

Speaking of a beach I hear the boatyard misses you!
