Day 7 Victoria, B.C., Canada

What a day!!!!!! Yes, I finally had a day in the sun….. It was fabulous, I could feel the warmth all the way through my body. It’s time to head to the South Pacific…. We arrived into Victoria around 6:00 this afternoon and immediately headed to town. What a lovely place…. I wanted to go to the gardens but I was told they were closed for the season. The Empress Hotel and the Legislative Buildings were spectacular… what a grand city. It was a nice visit and a great way to close out an excellent cruise. I had no complaints…. The entire staff did an amazing job. I was really impressed with the Shore Excursion staff. They were exceptionally knowledgeable, helpful and very professional. Great job! Tomorrow I look forward to the start of the Grand Australia, New Zealand & South Pacific Voyage….sounds warmer….. Thanks HAL for a great trip to Alaska!

Jeff I assume a new group of passengers as this sounds like the start of a cruise. Nice to see Vancouver with no clouds and rain.
Looking forward to some "WARM" shots as we see the cold shots 7 months of the year out our windows.
Enjoy...

Jeff,

Somebody gave you the wrong information about Butchart Gardens. Their Summer Season is until September 30th. They sell a seasonal ticket and thus they are open year round.

Loved your photos of Victioria. Looking forward to more wonderful photos and your trip log.

Jeff, as usual fab photos!!! I'm fairly new to your blog but not to cruising. I've not been on a cruise longer than 14 days and we normally cruise in Suites so we can enjoy the sounds of the sea and a little fresh air. Just curious, on the lengths of cruises that you're taking do you choose ocean view or balcony? Thanks.
