Today was pretty much "nature" day. I left home at 0730 this morning and headed for Delaware to spend the night at my sister's house. On the way my plan was pretty open ended except for a planned stop at Assateague Island. My first stop turned out to be right after I crossed the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel where a scenic overlook provided a nice view and some wildlife. While I was in that general area, I stopped at the Eastern Shore Wildlife Refuge... ice place. I have driven past probably over a hundred times so it was a good stop. I then made my way to Assateague Island, Maryland where they have a national Wildlife Refuge Center and of course the famous ponies.... It was a great visit, I walked the dune trails, the forest trail and a trail that led out to a small island. It is a very nice place to visit and the wildlife is pretty cool, especially the wild horses. I then made my way to Dover Delaware to visit my sister Lisa and her family. Great day!

I would love to see the pic with the boat in the grass in B&W. I think it would be really cool.
