The day has finally arrived…… I boarded the ms Maasdam around 11:30 this morning and was poolside basking in the Florida sunshine by noon. I have seen a few familiar faces amongst the guests and a couple of crew members. It feels great to be underway. Tomorrow morning we arrive in Half Moon Cay, Bahamas. It is a private island day so it is beach time. Everything so far is fabulous…. I dined with my friend Brad Elliott & his bride…. Nice day! Now, I am unpacking my numerous suitcases….

Jeff have a great voyage! We will watch your journey and think of the great times from the past.
Happy unpacking. No problem for you since you are an expert by now.
Looking forward to wonderful pictures of people, things, sunrise, sunset and clouds.
Are those the same nasty deck chairs that we all love to hate?
Hi Jeff, Have a splendid 6 months or so at sea. I can now look forward to following you around the Caribbean and then the world all winter just like I did last year. Your pictures are wonderful too. As a very well seasoned HAL Mariner, from your point of view, what is the best cabin type for a trip this long? It would be a very interesting tip for those of us who are wanting to go on longer voyages. Have a ball and don't take any wooden nickles.

Hi Jeff,
Brad and I will be following your journey on the Maasdam. Wishing you plenty of sun as you enjoy the Caribbean! Say hello to Brad Elliott and bride for us. We will be sailing with them on the Prinsendam in January. I guess the World and Grand Antarctica-South America leave Ft. Lauderdale on the same day. Jim and Jessica Smith, who are on the Maasdam now, will also be sailing with us. Maybe you will meet them at the Meet & Mingle.
Have fun! Maybe our paths will cross when you get back to Florida.
:-)
Karen
