Made it to Boston....

It was certainly an interesting day! I started by getting up way too early to the sound of thunder & lightning, not the kind of thing you want when you are catching a flight. Anyway, the storms subsided before my ride came to take me to the airport. What a surprise... there was a black stretch limousine that pulled this morning. Boy was I riding in style. You feel a bit foolish sitting there, way in the back, all by yourself. It is a comfortable ride, I'll have to admit. I made it to the airport OK and was off to Philadelphia on time. I was stuck on the runway in Philadelphia for about 45 minutes awaiting clearance for Boston. Apparently they had some pretty strong winds which held things up. I was sitting next to a wonderful woman from South Carolina with a PhD who taught and did consulting on fitness & wellness....This is kind of foreign territory for me. I really needed to listen!!! Just when I thought I was a lost cause she ordered a diet coke... all was right with the world, I was on the right diet after all..... It was an enjoyable flight. Then..... I arrived in Boston and the wheels started coming off. I waited for about an hour for my pickup from the hotel. Serves me right... I never use pickups, I always grab a cab. Then I finally got to the hotel and they checked me into a room that hadn't been cleaned yet. I went back to the front desk and asked if they would charge extra for a clean room. I sat and waited for a while until I got my room. Now, every thing is great. I'm in Boston, getting excited about my pending adventure and have finally validated that I am on a nutritious diet :-). I plan on getting on the ship around noon and heading for the pool if the weather forecast holds, sunny and warm....
