Day 55 At Sea
Great day today! It was nice and sunny all day. I sat out all day about my future cruising plans. My plans are very fluid at the moment. The cut rate prices that HAL has been giving out lately on the “Grand” Voyage segments are pretty nice (very low). I’m assuming the people who sign up for the entire Grand Voyages in the future will get the same kind of offerings…… I can’t wait!!!!! Very nice day.......

With the economy right now the cruise industry is hurting. This is the first time I will be on a cruise with MULTIPLE cabins open. Many flash promo's going on and we actually got a reduction in our price. So not surprised Hal is doing the same.
The problem is.... HAL has seriously reduced the level of quality of their Grand Voyages and has not reduced the prices for those doing the full Grand Voyages. If you want to get on the HAL water taxi for a short cruise you can get a deal. Their decision to not maintain the level of excellence they are known for will bite them in the end. Would you keep paying Filet Mignon prices if they started serving hamburger? I think not!
