Day 54 Apia, Samoa

I had a lovely day today exploring the beautiful island of Samoa. John & I were off in a taxi before 8:00. Our first stop was at Robert Lewis Stevenson’s home. This is where the famous Scottish author of such classics as Treasure Island & Kidnapped spent his last days. The home & now museum is kept in a great condition considering he died back in 1894. Next up was one of my favorite waterfalls, Papapapaitai Falls. Today however, it was a little lower on water flow than I care for….. We then drove along the coast admiring the beautiful scenery. Next we went to Falafa Falls… beautiful! We then went over the mountains, great views! Our final waterfall was the best…. Fuipisia Falls. It took a bit of a hike to get to it and we had to cross a stream but it was definitely worth the effort. The falls were beautiful. We headed back across the island and I got dropped off in Apia for a bit of a tour before I returned to the ship. The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing in the sun by the pool…. Great day!!!!! Now we have 4 days at sea on the way to Honolulu.
