Day 126 At Sea

Today was fabulous!!!! Looks like great cruising into Ft Lauderdale. Hopefully, between now and the 16th, when I depart, the weather will remain great. Last night we had our last formal night…. Mother’s Day. It was a really nice evening. It seems strange that we will be saying goodbye to each other soon. This is especially true of my 6 tablemates…. After 4 months together it will be sad to say goodbye. It has been fun sailing with Sandy & Grace, Bill & Barbara and Joe & Roberta. Hopefully we will sail again some day. I was asked in the last couple of days “what’s next?”. I sail in July on the Voyage of the Vikings (35 days)and then less than 3 weeks later board the ms Amsterdam for a 223 day journey, including both the Grand Australia, New Zealand & South Pacific Voyage & the 2010 Grand World Voyage. It should be quite a journey. I plan on using this blog for the upcoming voyages…. Here is the itinerary

Jeff, your upcoming adventures take my breath away. I am so envious! I am also honored that you take us along with you. You don't know how much you brighten my life with this blog.

Have you been to South Queensferry/Edinburgh before? There are two great fish & chip shops, just between the bridges, as well as the Hawes Inn, where Robert Louis Stevenson actually wrote part of Kidnapped. *Sigh*

Enjoy your time at home before the next adventure begins!!

I must say, Jeff, the Voyage of the Vikings does not sound like something you'd be interested. I expect there won't be much sun at all on that trip! LOL

Hi Jeff,

What a huge itinerary. We did a a similar cruise from Boston to Newfoundland, Iceland, Greenland, Scotland, Norway, Holland etc. back in 2005. It is a cold weather cruise so I don't think you will be doing much sun bathing.

Your very long cruise sounds terrific though we have done most of that itinerary in smaller stages. We only need to come across the Pacific from L.A. to Sydney and we will have done most of the RTW cruise.

Did you choose the same cabin each time?

I do so much enjoy your blog and your wonderful photos so we only have a couple of weeks once you are home before it all begins again.

Thanks so much for taking us along with you.

I will be blogging that trip also on my own website. I will be sure to give your blog address to my kids so they can follow yours too.

Wow. I've got to talk to Crayola about doing their biggest box of crayons ever. Right now it looks like 150 is the largest one from what I could find on their website...but it's more of a tub than a box. You can get a box of 832 for the classroom, but it's only in 8 colors and that would NEVER do.

As always Jeff, I thank you for taking us all along on your travels and adventures and for all the time you spend posting pictures and blogging.

Much love,
Holly
