Day 106 Transiting the Panama Canal

Today we transited the Panama Canal. No matter how many times I have done this I am always riveted by the Canal operation. Today was a particularly nice day for the transit. I had the opportunity to view the transit of the Gatun Locks form the Bridge. It was extremely interesting to see the Captain, First Officer and Pilots interact as they safely guided the ms Amsterdam through the Locks. Great day, I be back to the Canal very soon as the Grand World Voyage comes back through the Canal as we begin our journey around South America….

I see why you enjoy this so much. Anonymous is right. These are the best shots yet through the Canal. Did you get a new camera??

Yes Holly, I did get a new camera. It is a Nikon D300S with a new 18-200mm lens.
