Day 134 Rounding Cape Horn....

What a morning…. Up at 5:30 a.m., way too early. We were scheduled to begin our scenic cruising of the Islas Hornos around 6:30 a.m. and round Cape Horn and head to Antarctica. When I first went out on deck I thought I would get knocked over by the wind. We had about 50 knots of wind which can be pretty fierce on the open deck. Throw is some snow showers, hail and very cold temperatures and you are really having a good time. I have to say that hail hitting you with those kind of wind speeds is very painful. Aside from freezing myself, the scenery was magnificent and the constantly changing weather from moment to moment simply amazing…. What a morning! Now, I think today is an excellent day for a massage…… I am very excited about Antarctica in the next few days….

Yep, you were right, another cold cruise. But just think how much more you will appreciate the sunshine on those few days and bonus days will take one even more meaning. I don't recall, did you keep the trip to the frozen south? I would bet you will get some great pictures down there. Have a diet coke for me and I'm still with you guys as least in spirit Vickie
