Today was fabulous! I went out early to capture photos as we approached our port in Greenland. It certainly was a bit nippy. Our Captain, Andre, saw me outside on the decks and invited me to join him on the Bridge. It was quite an honor and was certainly a lot warmer. The sail in was great and I also had an opportunity to chat with the Ice Pilot, Ray, which was very interesting. After the sail in I hurried along and made it ashore on the first tender. I made a valiant, but failed, attempt at chartering a helicopter to take me to Narsarssuak where I was born. Unfortunately, it was Sunday and a bit difficult to pull something together. Too bad, I was only about 35 mile away but with no roads it may as well been 100 miles… Anyway, the day was lovely and I enjoyed exploring Qaqortoq immensely. The Captain came on a little while ago and gave us an update on Hurricane Bill and it looks like we will not have to change the itinerary at this point. Hard to believe we only have 5 days to go……

These pictures are so pretty. Do you know what the red and blue building all in a row are? From a distance they look like they have polka dots on them but I suppose they are windows. They stand out because the other buildings in the town are so colorful. Glad you had fun.
I told you Captain Andre was a great guy. Sorry you did not to get HOME please refrain from crying. Your pals Allan and Sandra

In the previous series I happened to notice a glacier in the background with you in the foreground. Hmmm very similar color so I bet your looking forward to warmer sunny climates?
