Is it my imagination or are you going through the Panama Canal twice and once part way? Do the world trips usually double up like that?

This voyage is actually 5 separate voyages taken back to back. Since I do this to make voyages really long there are times when I'll do things like go through the Panama Canal numerous times.

Hi Jeff,

I'm happy to hear that you missed the hurricane and got home safely.
Personally, I found The Voyage of the Vikings as amazing as your African segment last year. I really hated to see it end. I'm sorry you weren't able to see your actual birthplace after being so near.
Wishing you sunny weather and delightful beach days before you head off to Alaska.
Thank you so much for sharing all your adventures with us.

Jeff-

I am very sorry that you are forced to go through the Panama Canal multiple times on a voyage. Quite a hardship on your part, I am sure. All kidding aside, going through the canal is one of my favorite adventures on a ship.

Hope all is well-

Dennis

I also love the Canal despite having gone through it so many times....

Thanks for clearing that up for me! I was thinking that the itinerary did not look quite like the one you did before!
Anyhow, thanks again for sharing your journey with us out here in the web! We look forward to your pics and reports!

Jeff - I so enjoy reading about your travels and this one was especially interesting because you had to bundle up to ward off the cold...YIKES! I have a friend and co-worker who will be on the Amsterdam with you during the Alaska portion of your cruise. I wish you both beautiful weather during your time in the Great Land. Alaska is truly majestic! Happy travels.
