Day 33 Auckland, New Zealand

Today was another great day in Auckland… I planned a fairly short day expecting perhaps to see some friends in the afternoon. I left the ship this morning and headed straight fro the Auckland Sky Tower, the tallest building in the Southern hemisphere at over 1,076 feet. At least that’s what they told me… Anyway the view was spectacular, better than I remember in 2007. The skies at that time were overcast but that probably helped with the photos. After spending a fair amount of time up on the tower I headed for Albert Park for a look around. I walked around the city for a while and headed back to the terminal in hopes of seeing my friend Phil & his new bride Anna who I just found out were flying in this morning at 10:00. I sent and email (too late) and left a message at the airport but to no avail…. I just wish I had known sooner. He needs to start reading my blog….

Hi Jeff
I spent the day on the Zaandam in San Diego, had lunch with Captn Andre... he say's hi. I know it's not sailing, but it helps with the cruising dry spells.
Keep finding all thos unworked muscles, since the photos from the top of your final destination are fantasitic.
