Day 66 At Sea

It was a pretty nice day here on ship… The weather was much better than I expected so it was a day poolside with friends. The Captain made an announcement that, because of the turbulence in the Middle East, our port calls in Egypt (3 ports) will be cancelled. In their place we will be going to Salalah Oman (not exciting) and Ashdod & Haifa Israel (very exciting). It isn’t all finalized yet and I don’t have the new itinerary but the info so far is pretty good. We are all still in shock here about the tremendous destruction in Japan. It is one of the most horrific sights I have ever experienced…. So sad!

Hi Jeff,
Finally got caught up on the blog-fantastic photos-especially the people and flora.
Sorry to hear you won't be going to Egypt but safety is more important.
I was watching the Japanese coverage-truly unbelievable and the aftershocks are very strong. Truely the country needs our prayers and support along with New Zealand and Australia.
So happy that the cruise is going well and that the Captain has been able to give you some bonus scenery along the way.
Wishing you a continued safe journey and enjoy St. Pat's Day.
We have evidence that Spring is on the way-the daffodils are beginning to sprout!!!
