Day 17 Roseau, Dominica

Today was another pretty good day… I went out this morning for our sail into Dominica and the first thing I saw was a nice big waterspout…. really cool! Dominica is a really lush, beautiful island. It has been one of my favorite places off the beaten track; the lush vegetation, whale watching and snorkeling are really nice. Today, Brad & I hooked up with a taxi and explored the surrounding countryside including waterfalls, geothermal spots and excellent viewpoints…. It was an excellent adventure with lots of photo ops. Once we were done it was back to the ship to spend the rest of the day poolside. This voyage has been great so far. It has been very relaxing and the food, service in all areas has been excellent. The crew has done a fabulous job. The only glitch so far has been some ventilation issues…. Elizabeth, the Guest Services Supervisor and her team have done an exceptional job successfully addressing any issues that have come up. The Restaurant staff have really excelled in all aspects of meeting our needs at the dinner table. Well done!

Glenda has been telling me that we have to move to Dominica since our first visit there several cruises ago. She says we can have pineapples and other fruit and chickens in the yard. Great pictures.
