Day 23 Half Moon Cay, Bahamas

Well it was back to the beach again today…. It looked a bit iffy as we sailed in, big swells and waves crashing on the point of the island. I went ashore on the first tender and it turned out to be a pretty nice day. It certainly was a nice day but what a difference form 2 days ago… the waves were certainly the biggest I have seen at Half Moon Cay. The Nieuw Amsterdam (my next ship) joined us in port and that made for one big bunch of people. I ran into one of my Holland America favorites, Manny Cabanella who was the head deck steward on my last two World Voyages…. Great guy! I think I’ll be back here at least two more times. It is a nice place to just relax on the beach. Tomorrow is a day at sea and we will be visiting the British Virgin Islands next, Road Town Tortola. I have decided to take a boat over to Jost Van Dyke island for some photos and beach time.

I know Manny would like to be on the World but I don't know if he will be. It doesn't look good. Good luck in Amsterdam...
