Day 29 St. George's, Grenada

This morning I got off the ship at the first opportunity and headed up to Fort George…. My friends Mike & Janet would have been proud, although it is a somewhat strenuous climb I was even passing up the locals. The view from the Fort of the town & Carenage (St. George’s central inner harbor) was spectacular. The fort, although in somewhat a state of disrepair, was interesting nonetheless. From there I hike back down the hill and made my way to the Carenage snapping photos all the way. St. George’s is such a hilly city that it makes traveling around an endless stream of climbing and descending hills. The town is fairly picturesque so I liked that aspect. Dodging rain showers wasn’t something I particularly liked. After a couple of hours of hiking around the city I decided it was time to head back to the ship…. good decision, as soon as I got back the skies open and a deluge followed. After downloading photos I patiently awaited the sun to reappear which it did in short order. I spent the rest of the day frying in an extremely hot and very humid climate. Tomorrow we have a day at sea. Oh yeah. Almost forgot…. Internet locked upon me earlier when I was posting the photos. Must be still working OK by the Communications Officer’s standards…… Little update, I have been waiting 10 minutes to get logged on so far…. make that 15..oops, it says I am locked out of my account…. See internet manager…. Not my day… Internet getting worse, not better

Hi Jeff:
How in the "world" are you going to come up with ONE picture for the HAL contest? Your pictures are all so beautiful! I usually find multiple faves in each days photos.
Don't let the internet bother you too much. You'll get all upset and HAL doesn't care enough to fix it. Been a problem as far back as I can recall.
Have a super weekend (everyday's a weekend for us) and Thanks again for the great pictures.

We all need our daily fix and that daily fix is a good seller for HA~!
