Day 40 At Sea

Happy Valentine’s Day! Today was great. It was sunny and pleasant all day. We saw lots of whales and dolphins along the way. Tonight is a formal evening to celebrate Valentine’s Day. There is a ball after dinner. Just the ticket for a single traveler….. Anyway, tomorrow I make my first visit to Adelaide, Australia. I am very excited about this new port in Australia. I will be doing a ship’s tour. Here is the description: The Best of Adelaide
You'll get to know the city of Adelaide taking in the highlights of the city and its environs on this full-day tour. Adelaide is a charming city with a great sense of history. Spend an informative morning as you travel along North Terrace, the cultural boulevard of the city, with its Universities, Government House, the Art Gallery of South Australia, the Botanic Gardens and the Adelaide Festival Theatre. Pass by St. Peter's Cathedral and enjoy a photo stop at Montefiore Hill where the statue of Colonel Light watches over the city. You'll visit the acclaimed Cleland Wildlife Park in the Adelaide Hills to meet Australia's native animals, many of which roam free in their natural habitat. Photograph kangaroos, wallabies, emus, dingoes and cockatoos. There is also a chance to have your photo taken holding a lovable koala (at additional cost and weather permitting). A light lunch is included at a restaurant perchedon the summit of Mt. Lofty offering a spectacular panorama of Adelaide. Before returning to the ship, enjoy free time in the heart of Adelaide at Rundle Mall to browse in the shops and perhaps visit the famous Haigh's Chocolate shop (at your own expense) for some locally-made treats.

Jeff, You do look handsome! Happy Valentine's Day! Buddy and I are following along and enjoying your text and photos. It appears you are taking more 'portrait' photos this time - and doing a good job of it! We enjoyed our Hawaii cruise. Buddy is pleased with his camera. I deserve a star for being patient as he took each shot three or four times - each time changing the setting. :-) We miss being with you. Have more fun! Love, Lynn
