Day 41 Adelaide, Australia

Today was pretty special… After our arrival into Adelaide my tour headed for the Cleland Wildlife Park. The wildlife was amazing but the highlight was holding a Koala. His name was Peter and I can assure you that Koalas have very sharp claws. It was pretty cool. The time spent with the wildlife was great. We then went to the top of Mt. Lofty for a panoramic view of Adelaide. The view wasn’t that great today because of the smoke haze in the air from the bush fires in Victoria. Then it was off to lunch at the Mount Lofty House. It was a very nice lunch with nice views. Then we headed for Adelaide for a tour. I wasn’t too thrilled about this part because it was pretty much a drive by affair. No photo stops until we got to Montefiore Hill at Colonel Light’s statue. We then were given about 40 minutes at Rundle Mall where I strolled around and got some nice photos…. It was a very nice day overall….

Jeff,
You did Adelaide proud .... love the photos!

We have been to Cleland Wildlife Park .
Good to see you gave a cuddle to a true blue Aussie! They are wonderful animals, we have held many around the country, yes they have claws but so far none have taken a chunk out of us, hope you were as lucky!

We have stayed at Mount Lofty a beautiful old place.

THANKS for all the photos!
This one of you with Peter is a real keeper ....

Love,
Jean & Doug

Koala Khaki

Dang I had no idea they were that big. Evidently stuffed toy ones are undersized.

So when do you throw a shrimp on the barbie?
