Day 39 At Sea

Another good day today! It was pretty darn windy but very sunny. I just read most of the day, soaking up the rays. For lunch they put on a Mongolian Barbeque which was fabulous. I think I could eat that every day. Tomorrow at 0800 we are due into Brisbane, Australia. I will take a ship’s tour in the morning. Here is the description: Brisbane Sights & Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary --Tour historic Brisbane, passing Parliament House, the Treasury Building, City Hall and the Old Customs House. You will also pass the city’s Cultural Centre which combines the Art Gallery, the Performing Arts Complex, the Museum and Public Library beside the serene Brisbane River. From the top of Mt. Coot-tha, enjoy spectacular views over Brisbane. A special stop will be made at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, winner of many Australian Tourism Awards. It is the world’s first and largest koala sanctuary, with over 130 of these sleepy marsupials. Cuddle a koala anytime, hand-feed the kangaroos andencounter a large variety of Aussie wildlife, all in a beautiful, natural setting. One of the highlights of your visit is the Sheep Dog Show. Watch the experienced, award winning dog handlers and their loyal dogsfrom the Outback. See the amazing skills of the hardworking sheep dogs as they command the sheep around the paddock for their master, responding to finely tuned whistles, calls and hand signals.
