Day 39 Melbourne, Australia

I had a wonderful day today…. We arrived very early this morning into Melbourne, Australia. You could really see and smell the smoke from the tragic fires that have plagued Victoria... very sad. I decided to just cruise around town and take in the sights and snap a few pics. I took the tram to Collins & King Streets and got off. I then meandered my way down toward the Melbourne Town Hall and the Flinders Street Station. I then wandered down to the Botanical Gardens and the Shrine of Rememberance. Next I decided to check out the Eureka Skydeck 88 floors up for a view of the city. I also decided to check out their ‘Edge’ experience where the opaque room you are in moves out away from the building and then clears up to show you are in a clear glass enclosure looking down 88 floors…. Very cool! My friends Larry & Carol did this on the Asia voyage and loved it as well. I then walked along the Yarra River taking in the views before returning to the ship. Once aboard I sat by the pool and sucked up some much needed rays…. Tomorrow we have a day at sea as we sail for Adelaide, Australia.

Now that does sound like an adventure. Makes me want to head back to the Grand Canyon and do the Skywalk.

Glad you're going to get some sun, I could tell you've faded. Was almost ready to tell Crayola Pale Peach was the newest color.

NOT!!!!

Great pics. Brought back memories of our trip there last year.

Jeff, you need to publish a book on the street people of the world. Your photos of these people are some of my favorites!
