This morning we packed and got ready to check out before we went on our last tour. We were visiting the Mukini Village, home of the Leya people. We got to see the village up close to see how they lived and went about their daily lives. We got to go into 3 private homes of some of the village people. It was very interesting and the people were very friendly. We also had a chance to see their local handicrafts and purchased a few items. Then it was back to the hotel to relax a bit before checking out and heading for the airport. In Johannesburg, we talked to some people from another group from the ship and learned that the ship was unable to dock at the port as scheduled because of gale force winds. We were then a bit concerned as to whether there would be a ship there when we arrive into Cape town. We arrived later that evening into Cape town and sure enough the ship was there . It was a great trip but it was nice to be home. The next morning we were getting picked up to tour Table Mountain and the Cape Peninsula including Cape Point where the two oceans meet and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.

Hi Jeff,
I hope your adventures met your expectations except for the transport issue. Your pictures certainly met mine and should inspire others to visit this beautiful part of the world. Just loved the lion shots. Do you prefer riding an elephant or a camel?
Wishing you sunny days ahead.
