Day 107 Cape Town, South Africa

Today was a really good day! I was a bit tired from my journey to Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana but I was excited about touring Table Mountain & the Cape Peninsula We headed out at 0800 and headed directly for Table Mountain. We were very lucky because it wasn’t shrouded in clouds. The views from up there were great! It was really nice walking around the mountain and checking out all the views. We came back down and started our trek to check out the Cape Peninsula and all its beauty. Next stop was Camps Bay and what a lovely place that turned out to be…. Very scenic. We then stopped at Llandudno for some scenic views. Then it was off to Chapman’s Peak (or at least the part that was open) Again, great views. We drove through some wine country (Constantia on our way to Cape Point. We got to False Bay and traveled along the scenic coast from Mulzenberg to Simon’s Town where we made a stop. Next stop was the boulders to check out all the penguins and cormorants…. Great sight! Then it was off to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. After spending some time there it was back to the ship via Simon’s Town. It was a fabulous day blessed with pretty reasonable weather. Tomorrow is a much needed sea day!!!!
