Day 11 At Sea

Well, about today…. All I can say is that from a weather perspective this is the coldest, most overcast Caribbean Cruise I have ever seen. I’m not sure a bright sunny day will be in the offing on this voyage. What a difference a week makes. My dermatologist is thrilled…. It’s a good thing I am on a magnificent ship otherwise I would be seriously depressed. Today we had the Mariner’s cocktail party and award presentations. It was a very nice affair, well done. Tomorrow we are in Grand Cayman, one of my favorites but the weather forecast isn’t optimistic. Apollonia & I are (fingers crossed) are planning on going to the section of 7 mile beach where I introduced her to Allan & Sandra a few years ago. It’s a shame they aren’t here. By now they are out of the Denver cold and enjoying Puerto Rico awaiting the World Voyage. Tomorrow night I will be dining with the Hotel Manager Marco Van Belleghem and his wife Karen in the Pinnacle Grill enjoying their “Le Cirque” night. I continue to be amazed how much I really love this ship. It’s not just the ship itself, it’s the crew, service and all the intangibles that make for a great voyage. Just imagine how I would like if the weather wasn’t crap….. As I was trying to post this I was reminded of something I don't care for on this ship... The internet is very, very slow and intermittent. MTN needs to step it up. If you are going to sell a service, provide it. I am not saying it needs to be high speed but it should be much more reliable that it is in this part of the world.

Hi Jeff,
A belated Merry Christmas and wishes for a Healthy and Happy New Year and wonderful World Cruise.
Hopefully we can get through New Year's without another blizzard.
Heard even the Fl. manatees were seeking warmer waters by power plant discharges!
Your shots of Christmas Eve really captured the holiday spirit.
Hope the sunshine finds you.

When the internet is intermittent you sometimes end up posting twice
