Day 53 Castries, St. Lucia

I had a lovely day today in St. Lucia…. It was their Independence Day so most of the town was quiet except for the huge gathering they had in one location. I explored the city and then it was back to the pool. It was perhaps the hottest day we have had in a while… I got fried a bit around the edges. It was a lovely day which was capped off with a visit to the Spa. Tonight I had a fabulous meal (as usual) and then went to a cocktail party held for those of us doing multiple voyages. It is so bizarre attending any of these type of functions because there is a receiving line and it is so obvious that the first and most important person in line wants nothing to do with me. In two months not even a hint of friendliness. That is what I call good guest relations….. I was going to go to then Mariner Cocktail party with Ken & Helen but I think I'll pass....

Wish we had some of the heat you experienced in St. Lucia. The high today in NW Florida is the mid 40's.
As always, I enjoy your blogs and pics.
Thanks, June
