Day 6 At Sea

Today was a wonderful Christmas Eve….  The weather was just about perfect except for the wind gust that caused me to lose my yellow Aruba hat, bummer.  I walked around a took a few shots of the Nieuw Amsterdam so you could see a little bit of this magnificent ship.  Of course any ship is a reflection of the staff and the Nieuw Amsterdam has an excellent staff & crew.  Unlike…..  Anyway, the day was a lovely start of a fabulous day.  This evening was simply wonderful….  I started with going to see “Cantare” in The Showroom at Sea.  It was a fantastic performance…  Then I rushed off to the Pinnacle Grill where I had a very relaxed and enjoyable dinner with Captain Van Zaane & his lovely wife, Apollonia.  The dinner and conversation was delightful.  (We missed you Allan & Sandra).  Then it was off to the Sounds of Christmas concert presented by the crew members and their International Christmas Choir. The Captain was kind enough to ask me to join him & Apollonia in their private box for the show.  The crew put on a fabulous performance!  This was without a doubt the best Christmas eve I have ever spent on a ship.  After the show it was off to do the blog before heading back out again…  Merry Christmas to all my friends & family……

Sounds like the BEST Christmas Eve Jeff.
I do have one question. I noticed in the pool shots there are some youth. Now at our age almost everyone is a youth but some real youngsters are out and about. Is this cruise broken up in segments?
Enjoy as I am currently staring at the frozen lake waiting for kids to arrive.

You all look very happy ... glad you are getting the HAL feeling once again!
Send our best to the Captain Van Zaane & Apollonia ... we like you will miss them on the World Cruise in 2012.

We woke in time to witness the snow start coming down to give us that promised white Christmas we wanted!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, Jeff. We missed you at Lisa's last night. We are possibly getting pounded with snow, tomorrow, something you probably do not have to worry about.

Jeff
So glad to hear that things are going well. It does make a difference as to who is working onboard. Just finished x-mas dinner with the folks, so time to catch up on email and wish you a continued happy one. Now counting the days until I'm in FLL on 1/2.
See you soon. Continue to enjoy the n.a.
